Qualitative and semi-quantitative assessment of anthocyanins in Tibetan hulless barley from different geographical locations by UPLC-QTOF-MS and their antioxidant capacities

Abstract Tibetan hulless barley (“qingke” in Chinese) is a valuable food Tibet. Purple qingke (PQK) and black (BQK), two special pigmented types of barley, have traditionally been widely cultivated consumed Tibet for thousands years. The composition contents anthocyanins cultivars are unknown. This study aimed to explore the their antioxidant capacities. Six were identified by ultra-performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole-time flight mass spectrometry from most acylated malonyl group. total anthocyanin ranged 141 2,304 ?g/g PQK 248.7 2902.9 BQK. Furthermore, has strong activity against DPPH, ABTS? + , FRAP. Qingke may be useful treating or preventing diseases caused overproduction radicals.
